In the comfort of your own home, a Visiting Angels care coordinator can provide you with a free, no-obligation home care assessment to give you an idea of what type of specialized services your loved one may require. You likely have a list of questions that you would like to address, as you begin to consider setting up home care services for your parent or loved one. This meeting is the perfect time to pose any questions that you may have about how our care services work. During that initial meeting, we will also be able to get a clear picture of the assistance your loved one needs and take note of any special requests family members and senior clients may have. We want to ensure that your care plan includes only the services that you need most, so that you can gain the most value from the in home support you receive from our trusted caregivers. It’s also a great opportunity for us to get to know each other.

At this point, should you or your loved one still be uncertain as to what Visiting Angels services would be best, our care coordinator will take the time to make recommendations based on their knowledge and wealth of experience. 

Normally, we address the following topics at our initial meeting:

• Personal Care Needs - bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
• Presence of Physical Limitations - incontinence, mobility, and any special diet requirements 
• Review of Daily Schedules - surrounding eating, sleeping, and medication.
• Emotional Needs - conversation, companionship, social interaction, appointments, and activities.
• Household Support -  with groceries, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.

Additionally, the Visiting Angels care coordinator will go over the details of how to change care schedules by contacting one of our helpful office coordinators. 

If, after the initial meeting, you decide to choose our elderly care services, then we would finalize a care plan and schedule that’s suitable for you and your loved one, and finally, coordinate a meeting with your chosen caregiver.
