Kristie Moore – Client Care Manager
Kristie is a very outgoing and personable young lady. She has served as a caregiver and truly knows and appreciates the role of our caregivers and the needs of those they serve.

How We Began

The vision for bringing Visiting Angels to Fort Wayne was inspired by the firsthand experience Jim faced with his father. Jim’s dad spent his final years in a nursing home despite his desire to stay at home. At that time the family was not aware that homecare was an option. Sometime after his father’s passing Jim became aware of Visiting Angels and was frustrated that those services had not been available for his dad. Determined to make sure other families would have homecare options Jim began investigating Visiting Angels.

Dave saw the great need for these services because he had family members who, for several years, served as private caregivers. It was obvious that the care they provided truly impacted the quality of life for those they served. Without that help those in need of care would have had no option but to be institutionalized. All were very grateful that they were able to be in their homes until their passing.

What we believe

We believe in the dignity of every person who calls upon our service and are committed to serving our clients with quality care, compassion, and integrity. It is our goal to care for every client as if they were our own family member.

We are very grateful for the high quality caregivers who serve with us and seek to treat them with respect and show our appreciation for the outstanding service they provide.

When looking at Visiting Angels Dave was asked whether it was appropriate to wrap up 20 years of ministry to operate a business. The truth is what we do every day is ministry. We serve people and meet needs! We are blessed by the opportunity we have to help families care for their elders.

America’s Choice In Home Care

When you need care for a loved one, you want the agency you choose to be deep in home care experience.

Visiting Angels home care agencies have served tens of thousands of client families from Visiting Angels locations across the United States (each office independently owned).

In hundreds of newspaper articles nationwide, magazines, the internet, radio and on network television, Visiting Angels commitment to its clients has been recognized.

We’ve become “America’s Choice In Home Care”.

Building Friendships With Families

Obviously, the most important relationship is that between the care recipient and the caregiver.  It snowballs from there to the relationship between the family and the agency and the agency’s relationship to the community.  It is this philosophy of “building relationships” that has made Visiting Angels successful at keeping clients.

Our goal is to improve the quality of life for those we take care of and employ.  We also seek to be a complete resource for the senior community and provide valuable resources for all aspects of their lives.

Thank you for visiting our web site.  Remember, we are here to support you, not to take charge of your life.  Please feel free to contact us if we can be of any assistance, and enjoy your day.
