Our Staff
The staff at Visiting Angels in Mesa, Arizona provides the community with private duty home care care second to none.
Chris McIntyre, RN Care/Office Manager: Chris worked for St. Joseph’s hospital in Phoenix and Akron City Hospital in Ohio. Chris manages the office and scheduling and she is the person most in touch with our clients and caregivers. Her hands on experience with Visiting Angels clients, as well as providing in-home care for her own elderly parents, allows Chris to be sensitive to the issues facing those whose ability to remain in their homes is important to their end of life care. Chris administers the Visiting Angels employee drug-testing program, manages the office and assigns and maintains the schedules to coordinate care for the clients and caregivers.
Tish Wallace, Human Resources Manager: Tish is responsible for recruiting and hiring the Visiting Angels caregivers. She oversees continuing education and assures caregivers are CPR and First Aid certified, tested for TB and conducts reference and backgrounds checks (50-state criminal and driving records). A former Geriatric Social Worker, Tish has degrees from the University of Delaware and is certified in Human Resource Management from the UC Santa Cruz. Tish directed administration for a California medical homecare and hospice company and managed client services for an HR Consulting firm. Trish’s mom, a 94-year-old dementia patient, has been a Visiting Angels client since 2006 and Tish assures we hire caregivers that she trusts to care for her mother.
Lynn LeViness, Marketing Manager: Lynn has 20 years eldercare experience with an emphasis in medical staffing, recruiting and marketing. She has a passion for our elderly population and is dedicated to providing and ensuring outstanding care for her clients and community. As the former director of a non-medical homecare office, Lynn was responsible for all facets office management. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and has experience in providing direct clinical care to the elderly. Lynn is responsible for meeting and assessing our prospective clients and assuring they receive care specific to their individual needs.
Elaine Poker-Yount, Community Liaison: As former President of Senior Summer School, Elaine has been working with seniors and boomers for the last twelve years in both a recreational and educational capacity, helping them to not just enjoy life but to live it to the fullest. As the newest member of our staff, Elaine's position as Community Liaison is to provide outreach, support and resources to all facets of the community. You will find her doing networking, in-home assessments, care and supervisory visits, and educating both our clients and our community about all the resources Visiting Angels can provide to help individuals get the most out of life!
Linn Cunningham, LPN - Our staff LPN: Linn Cunningham has been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 1979 when, she graduated for Illinois Central College nursing program. She moved to Arizona and became actively involved in elder care. Since 1983 she has been instrumental in developing innovative and specialized care programs for individuals affected by Alzheimer's and dementia care. Linn has a vast knowledge and practical/clinical experience with caring for people with memory loss problems. With a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix she became actively involved in Assisted Living communities and has been a Certified Assisted Living Manager since 1994. As a Red Cross CPR/ first aid Instructor and a Primary Instructor for Assisted Living Certified Caregivers and Managers at AMTI (Arizona Medical Training Institute) and Gateway Community College, Linn is dedicated to training, serving and caring for people affected by Alzheimer's and memory care disorders and her greatest assets are her commitment, love, and sense of humor.
