Executive Director
We solve one of the most difficult challenges facing families today…
caring for loved ones requiring in-home non-medical living assistance.
Dave Pyser takes caring for his customers seriously. He honed that skill during a 15-year career in the hospitality industry, including 10 years for Marriott International. Pyser held several senior level marketing positions prior to establishing Visiting Angels of Pikesville.
Several years ago, Pyser was looking to change his career path and turned to the elder-care industry, a profession that fulfilled his goals in several ways.
“I wanted to use my strengths of helping people to solve problems while demonstrating to my own family the significance of taking care of others,” Pyser said. He opened an office of Visiting Angels, a non-medical homecare agency for the elderly that offers assistance with daily living, hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping and general companionship.
“I have a great deal of experience listening to customers’ needs and finding the right solutions,” the Reisterstown resident said. “We can take the pressure off families in times of often great duress.”
Pyser was trained and licensed as a Registered Service Agency licensed by the State of Maryland, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office of Health Care Quality. Today, his Baltimore County office has served hundreds of families throughout Baltimore City and County.
“In America today, more than 90 percent of the elderly population live at home, where family members take care of them,” Pyser said. “It’s extremely satisfying to be able to help families with that.”
Pyser is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. He has extensive experience in marketing and customer service at Marriott International and within other industries. He has served in key leadership positions on the boards and numerous philanthropic organizations.
