Marian Cremin, LCSW, Director, has been working in Social Services for more than twenty years. Marian received her Masters degree in Social Work from the prestigious Columbia School of Social Work in New York City. For many years she worked as a crisis team manager for the city's largest Homecare Agency, Visiting Nurse Services of New York. Marian is also a specially trained Dialectical Behavioral Therapist and founded the DBT Center of Marin County. She has conducted professional trainings for the County of Sonoma, Kaiser Permanente, Marin Community Mental Health, and many other social service organizations.

Albert DeSilver, Co-Director, worked for many years with Seniors as a visiting poet in residence, and writing teacher. He has worked with Seniors through the Emeritus Program at The College of Marin, Senior Access Alzheimer's day program, Kentfield Rehabilitation, and many other centers. In 2003 Albert was awarded a community arts grant in collaboration with The Redwoods Senior Living Center to conduct a collaborative community arts project between Seniors and fourth grade students at Tam Valley Elementary School.

Building Friendships With Families

Obviously, the most important relationship is that between the care recipient and the caregiver.  It snowballs from there to the relationship between the family and the agency and the agencies relationship to the community.  It is this philosophy of “building relationships” that has made Visiting Angels successful at keeping clients.

Our goal is to improve the quality of life for those we take care of and employ.  We also seek to be a complete resource for the elderly community and provide valuable resources for all aspects of their lives.
