Choose a local caregiver agency

First, you will want to do research to determine what type of caregiver options exist in your local area.  If you live in a smaller city, such as Hendersonville, NC, or Waynesville, NC you may find that your options are limited in the immediate area.  Our Visiting Angels local office is located in Asheville, NC but we do provide caregiver services to Hendersonville and Waynesville.

Trust matters in choosing a local senior care provider

Next, you need someone that you can trust. Trustworthy, Compassionate and Responsible caregivers provide the best service for your loved ones and can be a good long term caregiver solution. Our Visiting Angels location prescreens our local caregivers to ensure that they not only are qualified with experience, but that they pass a background check, drug test, and have positive previous work references. Our caregivers regularly have a CNA background and have many years of experience working within senior care environments. 

Understand the needs of and hours required for care

Finally, you should determine the level of care and the number of hours that are required. We realize that senior care isn’t the same for everyone, and often times the level of care required can change based on health condition. We have a minimum of 4-hour shift so that our clients will feel comfortable and go at their own pace. We are flexible and can provide care for your loved ones when they need it on a regular basis, but we can also provide care in an upgraded fashion when they require more attention.
