Visiting Angels of Auburn, NH’s Caregiver of the Month: Nola C.

Join Visiting Angels of Auburn in congratulating Nola C. for being an outstanding in home caregiver and providing quality home care to all of her clients.

Nola started with Visiting Angels back in December 2018 when she was first introduced to the field through her personal experience caring for her parents. Before that experience, Nola had a professional career as General Manager for Dunkin Donuts.

When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Nola talked about the feeling of being liked by her clients and the appreciation they show— “it makes it all worth it.”

Admittedly, caregiving has its share of challenges, like figuring out what the client wants and needs in a way that does not upset or embarrasses them.

Nola was asked what advice she would give to someone new to the caregiver role. We discussed the need to, in a way, keep a distance from the clients to not let it overwhelm or bother you. At times working in this industry can be heartbreaking.

A fun fact about Nola is that she enjoys doing Genealogy and has helped all her clients learn about their ancestry.
