Caregiver of the Month: Sarah P.

Congrats to Sarah for Being an Amazing Caregiver

Sarah came to Visiting Angels of Auburn after almost 20 years as an Accountant. She was tired of sitting behind a desk and wanted to make a difference. She had been a volunteer at a nursing home and decided to come into the human service field full-time.
Sarah likes seeing the smiles on people's faces that her work brings – whether it be a client or one of their family members. She also enjoys the problem solving the work often involves.
In true caregiver of the month form – Sarah does her part, working 50+ hours a week currently. She also mentioned the added challenge of working with a lot of clients with dementia that she knows will never get better, only worse as time progresses.

Sarah’s Advice to Caregivers
When asked about advice for new caregivers, Sarah mentioned the importance of reading all the information provided on the assigned client and recognize that within all the guidelines there's a lot of flexibility and room to adjust to each client and their needs.
In her spare time, Sarah loves skydiving!
