Caregiver Spotlight: Barbara M

We are happy to announce that our caregiver of the month is Barbara! Barbara has been a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for over 25 years. Barbara came to the USA when she was 27 years old, where she finished her CNA schooling and had three small children. Over her career, Barbara has worked in assisted living, nursing homes, and in home care services.

At the Manchester VNA, Barbara heard of Visiting Angels because one of her clients used our services. Since then she has joined our team, and we are very thankful to have her. When asked about what she likes best about her job, Barbara said that she likes to help people. She said that one day she herself will be old, and may need some help.

Barbara says the hardest part about her job is to have witnessed people who take advantage of others. Accountability and safety are things we hold in high regard here at Visiting Angels, which is why our agency is bonded and insured.

Barbara also says that as a caregiver it is important to be patient, to not give up too quickly, and to take the time to try to listen to what others are telling you.
