Thomas Dolan - Owner

Tom acquired the local Visiting Angels business in Brookfield, CT from Patricia Werlau in January 2012 and the Fairfield, CT business from Robert Melcher in December 2016. After a long career leading global companies in the service industry, Tom’s focus is building upon the high level of quality services for which Ms. Werlau’s and Mr. Melcher’s Visiting Angels organizations have been known. Tom and the staff focus on operating the most professional and compassionate Senior Home Care agency in Connecticut, and his daily hands-on management approach keeps him connected personally with our clients, their families, caregivers, and the communities we serve.

Tom is deeply involved in his church, community, and family. He lives in Fairfield, CT, with his family. He is an active member of St. Pius X Church in Fairfield. He is also involved with many school and community volunteer programs. Tom loves boating, fishing, skiing, and golfing (which he is not very good at). He has personally experienced the challenges that families face with chronic illness, dementia, and the end-of-life process of loved ones.

Tracy Brady – Executive Director Business Development & Community Relations

Tracy has worked with seniors for over a decade. Her first position was as Activities Director at the preeminent Maplewood Assisted Living facility in Newtown, Connecticut, where her focus was on the development, implementation and supervision of a range of recreational services and programs. The programs were designed to improve and stimulate the quality of life for all residents in both the Assisted Living and Dementia communities. Tracy has been with Visiting Angels for the last 6 years, serving as our key relationship liaison with area hospitals, medical centers and senior living facilities. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and tireless commitment to improving the wellbeing of seniors makes Tracy an invaluable asset to our firm and the community. Her current position as Executive Director of Business Development and Community Relations reflects her success in her role and her contributions to the community.

Tracy holds a BA in Sociology and has studied International Business at the University of New Haven. She recently received CPD® certification, which acknowledges her personal commitment and experience in the area of Dementia care. She is also certified by the Alzheimer's Association as an instructor for the Specialized Dementia Care Education program. Tracy serves on the boards of several organizations whose missions are to enrich the quality of life for local community seniors.

Nancy Woolfrey - Sr. Manager Operations, Client Service Coordinator

Nancy is our Sr. Manager of Operations as well as one of our experienced Client Service Coordinator’s. She joined Visiting Angels in July 2015 and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of our Brookfield Office. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Stetson University and has had a long career as a Human Resources Administrator. Nancy is a very compassionate individual who can easily relate to families seeking the best level of care for their loved ones. She works diligently to ensure a long and trusting relationship with both our Clients and Caregivers. Nancy currently resides in Southington CT.

Donna Barnwell - Client Service Coordinator

Donna is one of our experienced Coordinators and has been with Visiting Angels since 2005. Donna is a great asset to the team as Administrative Assistant, managing, insurance, payroll and invoicing.

Donna has always been the go-to person for any state-funded cases or other issues that arise in the business day to day. Donna handles the constant flow of calls, doing new client intakes, keeping track of schedules, and talking to clients and caregivers throughout the day.

Marita Ferguson - Client Service Coordinator

Marita is one of our experienced Client Service Coordinators and has been with Visiting Angels since 2011. Marita loves working with our clients and their families to find the best possible caregiver match, knowing it will enable clients to enjoy the comforts of home.

During the past year Marita has been working predominantly in the community as a liaison between the office and the clients that we are serving. In this role Marita provides in home visits, updating care plans of the clients, and ensuring that the staff and client are enjoying a successful relationship. Marita recognizes our staff achievements and celebrates our client’s special occasions. She is responsible for enhancing our client’s daily engagement with specialized activities, which are individually tailored to our client’s interests.

Over the past 28 years, Marita has held several positions in social service agencies, including working as a Geriatric Care Manager and as a Social Worker/Service Coordinator for individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. In addition, Marita has worked with the probate court system, estate planning, and end of life and advance directives planning. Marita holds a BA in Social Work from WCSU with a concentration in music. She and her husband have raised 3 daughters and live in Bethel.

Megan Sforza - Client Service Coordinator

Megan is one of our experienced Client Service Coordinator’s, she joined Visiting Angels in July 2016. Prior to taking her position with Visiting Angels she gained experience as a CNA for 6 years. This enables Megan relate with Caregivers because she understands how they are feeling while caring for the aging population. Before coming to Visiting Angels Megan worked very closely with Traumatic Brain Injury Clients in a behavioral health setting. During which time she also had the opportunity to work with other various professionals in the community.

Megan’s clients are what is most important to her. She makes sure to offer the highest quality of service, as if she were working with her own family. She works very well with our caregiving staff and is always available to provide support to families, clients and staff as needed.

Christy Doyle - Client Service Coordinator

Christy has over thirty years’ experience in the health care industry.  She has worked as a CNA in both skilled settings and assisted living communities.  Christy holds a certificate in Therapeutic Recreation and enjoys working with the senior population.  In her free time, she volunteers for hospice as a Reiki Master.  Christy lives in New Milford with her two sons.                                                                                                                                                                          

Glenda Espana - Client Service Coordinator

Glenda is our newest Client Service Coordinators, joining Visiting Angels in October 2018. She Resides in Danbury Ct with her two children. Glenda is Bilingual with 3 years of Human Health Service experience and two years of college in Human Services/Pre-Social Worker. Glenda has gained Experience with previous agencies as a Community Services Specialist working closely with clients who are in need and with traumatic brain injury clients. Glenda enjoys the elderly population and has been a CNA for the past 6 years.

Michelle Mascolo

Michelle is our Office Manager and has been with Visiting Angels since 2008. Michelle manages a variety of critical needs in the office, including the timely and accurate administration of our payroll and invoicing. She provides vital assistance to caregivers and clients in managing calls, and offering others support they require.

Lisa Pienaar - Hiring Manager

Lisa originally started with Visiting Angels as a CNA in early 2003. She then moved on to being a Programing Coordinator in skilled nursing facilities in the Danbury area. Her CNA experience included working in Hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities and Rehabilitation setting in a number of states. Most recently she was the director of career services at a Career Learning Institute in the Danbury, CT. There she assisted placement of students in area agencies. Lisa’s extensive knowledge of the industry has enabled her to reach out to prospective candidates to help grow the employee directory. Having the knowledge of both sides of the Industry enables her to be objective with clients, family and employees. She is a great asset to our team.

Carole Anne Del Vecchio - Registered Nurse

With over thirty-five years of nursing and teaching experience, Carole Anne Del Vecchio offers nurse oversight for clients and caregivers to ensure the acceptable quality of care appropriate for each client is provided with passion and commitment.

Nicole Believe - Office Coordinator

Nicole is one of our experienced Coordinators, joining Visiting Angels in September 2015. Nicole, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Connecticut University with BAs in both Photography and Graphic Design in 2005. Since then she has gained work experience in business, human resources and marketing. In 2014 she found the most rewarding employment, working with Seniors with various degrees of dementia in an assisted living facility. Nicole feels so blessed to join the Visiting Angels team to be able to provide personalized service to clients and to connect caregivers alike with understanding enthusiasm and looks forward to working with future clients.

Community Relations and Marketing Manager-Currently Hiring

Sheila Jaworowski - Client Service Coordinator

Sheila has been with Visiting Angels since March of 2018. She started her career as a Respiratory Therapist and found she loved working with seniors and valued the stories they had to tell. She soon left the hospital behind and has worked in various capacities in the senior industry. In addition to homecare, Sheila has worked at Assisted Living Facilities and as A Senior Advisor with a national senior referral agency. Sheila enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and traveling.

Coleen Hayes - Client Service Coordinator

Coleen Hayes is a Certified Senior Advisor with over 15 years’ experience in the field. She has worked in various positions ranging from Business Office Manager to Activities Director and in various settings from Assisted Living facilities to Home Care Agencies. Her passion is helping people, she has a special place in her heart for the geriatric population. To Coleen, there is nothing better than making someone feel comfortable and cared for. She has been with Visiting Angels for 7 years, recently coming back to join the Fairfield office. In her downtime she enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her family.

Rita Johnson

Rita Johnson is a Client Services Coordinator as well as the Hiring Manager for the Fairfield Office. She has been with Visiting Angels since 2014. Rita’s job is day to day operations which entails reviewing billing, hiring caregivers, keeping track of schedules and solving problems. Prior to working with Visiting Angels, Rita worked at various Nursing Homes in a variety of roles including Admissions and Marketing. Rita holds an Associate’s Degree in Mental Health, a B.A. in Human Services, and a Masters in Health Care Administration. Rita is a basketball mom who loves watching her daughter play.
