Caregiver Responsibilities & Job Requirements
At Visiting Angels Lake Norman, we are an award winning team of caregivers that provides our clients with top-quality services and helps them enjoy their senior years to the fullest.
As a caregiver, you’ll work one-on-one with our clients inside their homes and will be responsible for providing:
- Friendly Companionship
- Meal Preparation / Diet Monitoring
- Mobility Assistance
- Medication Reminders
- Light Housekeeping
- Assistance with Dressing and Bathing
- Laundry
- Errands and Shopping
To work as a caregiver, we require that:
Applicants must have a passion for taking care of seniors and have equivalent training/work experience for all of the services we provide to our clients (companionship, meal preparation, mobility assistance, bathing and dressing assistance, light housekeeping, laundry, errands and shopping), and have reliable transportation, good references, and no criminal record.
The ideal Visiting Angel Caregiver is compassionate, honest, patient, dependable, and able to communicate clearly and has a sincere desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. You do not have to be a CNA to be a Visiting Angels caregiver, but CNA experience is preferred.

- Verifiable References (Personal/Professional)
- Valid Driver's License
- Social Security Card or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
- Personal Transportation with Current Insurance
- Successful Completion of a Criminal History Check and Drug Test
