Gilford, NH – Visiting Angels of Gilford is pleased to support the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Manchester, NH each year. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event which raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs.
Visiting Angels of Gilford Helps Raise Awareness and Funds for Alzheimer’s Care, Support, and Research
Our home care providers, families and friends hold events year-round to help support our fundraising efforts. This year, Visiting Angels of Gilford was the top team in New Hampshire, raising $40,292 of the $292,829 total amount raised at The Central NH Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Nationally, Visiting Angels Franchise owners have raised $436,665 as a part of our National Team efforts.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than a walk. It is an inspiring experience which calls participants to unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions. In addition to the walk, participants will learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause from advocacy opportunities, and the latest in Alzheimer’s research, clinical trials, support programs and Alzheimer’s care services.
Alzheimer’s disease is a growing epidemic and is now the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. As baby boomers age, the number of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease will rapidly escalate, increasing well beyond today’s estimated 5.4 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.
