Hello, and welcome to our family!
Our journey towards running the best home care service in the greater Rockford area has been full of our own experiences helping others. It has been a dream of ours to run a company that helps people and changes their lives. We chose Visiting Angels of Rockford because we found that Visiting Angels was best aligned with our vision and passion.
Caring for others has been a part of Daylen’s entire life. He began assisting his great-grandmother in her home when he was just 8 years old. At 18, he joined the Air Force and enlisted in the Medical Squadron as a combat medic. Afterward, he became a Physical Therapist and spent 7 years as a Rehab Manager in the Rockford area. After several years in home health and skilled nursing facilities, he found that he wasn’t quite where his heart was telling him he needed to be. Then he learned about living assistance services. Assisting folks who need help with daily tasks but want to keep the joy of staying in their home is exactly the role he was meant for!
Christina is a nearby native who has spent the past several years working as a paraprofessional for autistic and disabled children. This sparked her passion for humanitarian work that she learned from her family. Christina’s own grandmother was a caregiver for nearly 10 years. One fateful day, a friend began telling Christina about her job and how she helps Visiting Angels get their information out to the residents. Christina did some research and fell in love with the family culture and compassionate services that she read about.
It didn’t take long for Daylen and Christina to realize that Visiting Angels was the perfect fit. With their clear model for “client and family first” and enlisting the best local caregivers, Daylen and Christina quickly knew this was their calling.
