Meet The Owners
Meet Ellie & Melissa Morgan, owners of Visiting Angels San Pedro, a mother-and-daughter-owned and operated business. Ellie Morgan, a registered nurse, has 60 years of experience in a variety of Healthcare settings, including the following; Director of home health, Director of Hospice, Director of Patient Services, and Director of Cardiac Support Services. Melissa has over thirty years of experience in the Hospitality Industry with an emphasis on customer service with proven interpersonal skills to effectively resolve difficult situations and unexpected challenges. Together they are very passionate about what they do and have the skills to run a successful home health business to help those in need.
Visiting Angels San Pedro first opened its doors in 2019, less than 30 days before the COVID-19 pandemic announcement. Being a member of the community for over 50 years, Ellie discovered Visiting Angels while exploring opportunities to open her own business. Her research showed that individuals recovering from injury or a medical problem, coupled with a rapidly aging population, have created an urgent need for in-home care in varying degrees. Her daughter, Melissa stepped in as the primary caregiver for all new clients during the COVID pandemic and realized she found her calling. As a daughter of aging parents, she not only realized the importance of the compassionate care we provide to our clients but also the importance of the peace of mind we provide to their families. We've managed to build an amazing team of caregivers and have been serving our community ever since.
