Why So Many Veterans Call Pierce County Home

With Joint Base Lewis-McChord located right here, Pierce County is home to nearly 80,000 veterans - one of the largest veteran populations in the region. Many choose to stay here after service—and we’re honored to be part of their support system.

Experience You Can Trust

We’ve cared for thousands of veterans and their families since opening our doors. Our team is knowledgeable about VA benefits and can help guide you through the process of accessing care and financial assistance.

Veteran Benefits That Support In-Home Care

1. Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit

A special VA pension for eligible veterans and surviving spouses who need help with daily activities. To qualify for the benefit, applicants must meet certain financial and clinical criteria.  Eligibility guidelines require that the veteran served on active duty a minimum of 90 consecutive days, to include at least one full day during a wartime period.  The applicant must also meet financial limits and need assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, and dressing.
