"My name is Lisa W., I am the daughter and caregiver of Marvin and Barbara Glenn. It
gives me great pleasure to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Olga Lomas.
I met Ms. Lomas through Visiting Angels- Caregivers Organization, of Fairfax, Virginia and she
was extradentary! Her bedside manner, knowledge of the geriatrics population and just her
overall total care was a testament of her passion in working in the healthcare industry.
Ms. Lomas went above and beyond her scope of work. She was first hired to care for my father
who was diagnosed with hypertension, renal failure and heart failure. After caring for dad for
two months, he passed away and stayed on to care for mom. My mother has cancer and dementia.
She attended the funeral services, sat by mom and had supported her during the transitional
period. My parents were married for 58 years so the loss for mom was tragic. Olga engaged
mom with activities in the home, took her to appointments in the community and even learned
her likes and dislikes in order to engage her socially, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Ms. Lomas became a part of our family. As mom's dementia increased and cancer speeded. she
had to be hospitalized on June 25. 2022. She now needs more acute care, therefore had to
make a tough decision to place mom in care that offered 24 hours and the medical attention
she needs. With this decision, we also had to end services with Olga. Not only was this a loss
for mom having to leave the home, but a loss having to separate with services that Olga provided.
They became friends. Mom trusted Olga and became a big part of her life in such a short span of time.
I would recommend Olga Lomas to work with any family who needs love and a compassionate
caregiver or even to continue in this field under the private sector or within a community
facility. Her work ethic, compassion, love and overall personality is nice. Olga Lomas is a professional health care provider.
Any company or family would be blessed to have her as a part of their team.
If she should decide to continue her employment with Visiting Angels, it would be a positive move to have her train other healthcare workers within the company as to how to care for a patient. Mrs. Olga Lomas would be a great team leader, and deserves a raise for such an
outstanding job she continues to provide for other client's loved ones."
