The Directors and Managers of Visiting Angels of West Springfield recently visited hundreds of local companies and organizations throughout Hampden County and the Greater Springfield area.

As a local company having been in business for 2 decades, Visiting Angels has continued to prosper within the home care industry.Their success is dependent on the personal relationships they build with clients, client family members, and local business owners and employees. This past Summer, Visiting Angels’ nurse, Joyce Dintzner, visited dozens of local businesses in Western Mass to recruit new employees. Her mission was to spread the word that Visiting Angels is America’s Choice in Homecare and is a special place to work as a Caregiver.

Getting the word out to prospective employees is important to the Visiting Angels team. Employees at Visiting Angels are not just numbers to fill a schedule. They are part of the local family of Caregivers who help one another and grow as a team serving the elders in the Greater Springfield area. The management team of Visiting Angels has continued to foster strong relationships with their employees through team building meetings, personal recognition, and awards within the organization. While driving around to businesses in search of prospective employees, many individuals saw the Visiting Angels company vehicle, which draws great attention to the company, and their goal of getting the word out about new openings with Visiting Angels. Caregivers hold both part-time and full-time positions. They are matched specifically to their client based on factors such as personality, skill level, and scheduled needs. This specific matching fosters strong relationships between our clients and Caregivers. There is a core group of caregivers that have been with this company for years and we hope to encourage new caregivers to join the growing organization. The summer search was a success with 5 individuals hired from local recruiting, all have continued with the company several months later and continue to succeed as a Caregiver.
