Visiting Angels of West Springfield has been part of a movement in Western Mass that has started to gain national attention.
As you may or may not know, the Caregivers at Visiting Angels are considered to be essential workers during this national pandemic. Since our Caregivers are constantly coming in contact with the general public as well as older adults and elders, we were gifted dozens of face masks from the Vassallo family in Western Mass. The family of four has generously created and donated hundreds of face masks for essential workers and were even recently gifted some material for creating the masks after their story went viral!
As Visiting Angels of West Springfield continues to serve the general public and many communities in the Greater Springfield area, our mission is to protect our Caregivers and the seniors and older adult we care for. Our team assists dozens of clients throughout the Pioneer Valley and without the services of Visiting Angels, many of these individuals would have a difficult time living normal lives. Some of the services our Caregivers perform are:
- Meal preparation
- Bathing assistance
- Grocery shopping (curbside and drive-thru only during the pandemic)
- Household chores
- Companionship
- Daily exercise assistance
- And much more!
