Visiting Angels of Palos Verdes is locally owned and operated by Duane and Marian Sullivan-Karons, who have deep roots in the area. While we're part of a nationally recognized network of caregivers, we pride ourselves on having local caregivers.

When life takes an unexpected turn, it's tough knowing where to turn for help. Duane and Marian know this all too well. In 2020, Duane suddenly experienced chest pains and needed emergency open-heart surgery. 

As Duane recovered, he needed help with daily tasks, doctor’s visits, and physical therapy. Marian was still juggling work and was able to rely on Stan, a longtime caregiver at Visiting Angels. Stan not only helped Duane with personal care but was also able to cook meals and keep him company during doctor visits.

This taught Duane and Marian how important it is to have extra support when life gets challenging. Visiting Angels has been there for countless families in need, stepping in to help families at critical times.
