At Visiting Angels Harford & Cecil Counties, we provide compassionate, personalized in-home care designed to help seniors live safely and comfortably at home. Our team is dedicated to supporting older adults throughout our local Maryland communities with care that promotes independence, dignity, and peace of mind for families.
Our Company Story
Visiting Angels of Harford & Cecil Counties began serving residents in May of 2015. Opened by JP Glynn, this agency is supported by the Mission Statement: “To provide the most Compassionate & Dignified Home Care!”
After working in healthcare contracting, JP felt the need to make more of an impact and had the opportunity to open a Visiting Angels to serve the community in Harford & Cecil County. With a family that always cared for loved ones at home, Visiting Angels was not only a good fit from the home care perspective but was already a large part of JP’s life.
JP’s Mom, Connie, worked for 25 years in total with Visiting Angels in the Philadelphia area working first as a caregiver, and then overseeing daily operations for the very first Visiting Angels agency in Havertown, PA. JP first started working in 2009 in an after-hours roll, covering callouts and working directly with clients and their loved ones to address their needs, concerns or hear their praises for the service the Angels were providing.
Fast forward to 2013 where JP decided to make the move to Harford County and begin the process of opening the Harford & Cecil Counties Visiting Angels. Proudly now serving the community since then, JP works to bring the best training and tools available to provide “the most compassionate and dignified home care!”
Our Caregiving Expertise
Serving people since 2015, our knowledge of services and ways to provide support to families has grown extensively. From the Angels training, our RN Supervision, Assistive devices, compassionately formulated care plans, including activity plans for those suffering from cognitive decline.
Visiting Angels can provide many benefits to our Care Recipient’s and their family members as well. We can be there as an advocate for our Client’s and their loved ones, and help them to continue living life in a place of their choosing that allows for proper care and a safe, protective environment.
For some, We allow Son’s & Daughter’s to remain Son’s & Daughter’s during a time in their lives when it can be most important. Strengthening the time you have with your loved ones, allowing us to play the supportive role in completing necessary tasks for appropriate, compassionate and dignified living.
Why We Are The Best Choice for In-Home Care in Harford & Cecil County
Each Care Recipient of Visiting Angels will receive an Initial Nursing Assessment from one of our Registered Nurses, with over 75 total years of experience in working with our Senior population. Working with our Care Recipient and their loved ones, we will create a care plan unique to the individual(s) that will allow both the family and Visiting Angels to know what to expect from our visits and the main areas of focus that will most assist the Care Recipient and Client(s).
During our free home care assessment, we will learn about your loved ones’ needs, likes and dislikes. We will match the schedule needs with an Angel that can provide the proper required care and support their family. With Visiting Angels, we work hard to have you “Select Your Own Angel”. This is done through communication with the family, making sure that our Angel meets the needs and services of your loved one.
