Bel Air is home to the Harford County Office on Aging, located at 145 N Hickory Ave. The Harford County Office on Aging provides support to senior citizens to live full, productive, and satisfying lives. The office provides information, referral and assistance with caregiver support, senior care, long-term ombudsman, Medicare waiver, and State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). At Visiting Angels of Harford & Cecil Counties, we work to align ourselves with the Office on Aging and by doing so increase the strength of providing education, resources and services to the members in our Community of Harford County. 

Another great resource is the Harford County Library Bel Air branch. Many resources for Seniors and Caregivers and Veterans have been brought to this library and their online portal. Whether taking our Care Recipients to the Library, or helping to bring the library to them, Visiting Angels of Harford & Cecil Counties Caregivers are supportive to our Care Recipients needs for knowledge, entertainment and technological know how. 

A collaborative resource entity has been operating in Harford County as Harford G.A.I.N. This is the Harford Geriatric Assistance and Information Network, which is comprised of individuals, agencies and businesses that provide products and services for seniors within Harford County. G.A.I.N. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. In addition to being a venue for networking and education, G.A.I.N provides real benefits to the senior citizens we seek to serve.  Each year, G.A.I.N. organizes several events designed to benefit seniors within our community. These events include the Annual Harford County Caregivers Conference as well as fundraising events. Through fundraising efforts, G.A.I.N. has made significant financial contributions to the Harford County Senior Emergency Fund, Family & Children Services and Harford Community College.

Visiting Angels works closely with all those that make contact with our agency. Inherent in our Mission is to provide any and all information we have to those in need of Senior services. This is includes those who may even be looking for a facility, not care to be provided in their homes. Through years of providing service to Seniors in Harford we have forged a relationship with Assisted Living Locators and its local stand out Ryan Majchrzak. Assisted Living Locators is a FREE service that is able to assist those in need of a facility, home care, adult day care, or hospice care. Alongside the medical center are numerous options for assisted living and rehabilitation with such organizations as Brightview AvondellBrightview Bel Air, Lorien @ Bel Air & Lorien @ Bulle Rock, and Sterling Care @ Riversideplaying a large role in the area in supporting Seniors facility based needs.

Bel Air has many historic buildings, places of interest, areas for walking/hiking and The McFaul Activities Center, an indoor location with fitness, billiards and other recreational activities for Seniors. At The McFaul Center your loved one can interact with others, utilize computers and other resources for crafts, along with safe controlled environment to workout or engage in physical activities.
