Our Deep Roots in the Crystal Lake Community

For 15 years, owners Hugh and Sherry McGowan have steered a large team of Angels to help area families and their older loved ones remain safe, secure, and cared for where they are most comfortable—in their own homes. Both owners are members of the McHenry County Task Force on Aging and have gone out of their way to expose themselves to the wide-ranging needs of local senior communities.

Our Specialized Training

Our care team is vetted and trained to assist seniors throughout the day and is also available to transport care recipients home from the hospital or rehab facility. Staff members are experienced, reliable caregivers and CNAs (certified nursing aides), including those with certifications in palliative care, dementia care, and other focus areas. We also provide training to help prevent readmissions to the hospital.

Thanks to our diversity of training and expertise, we provide a range of distinct programs that address the most common conditions that seniors face today:

1. Alzheimer’s care: Services that address memory loss, physical limitations, wandering, and other key challenges that come as a result of having this disease.
2. Companion care: Support that focuses on providing conversation and socialization for elderly residents, in addition to other in-home aid.

4. Transitional care: Aid customized for individuals recovering from a prolonged hospital stay.
