ALZHEIMERS AND DEMENTIA CONFERENCE
On February 9th our team participated in a conference hosted by Memory Matters at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Conference Center. Our team enjoyed a great day meeting locals in need of services for Alzheimers and dementia, listening to the informative lecture from Teepa Snow and working alongside the Memory Matters team. The conference allowed attendees to meet local area resources offering a wide variety of services for persons with Alzheimers and dementia and learning about the disease from the in-depth lecture provided by Ms. Snow. Ms. Snow is a dementia expert who trains and consults for healthcare professionals and families privately. As a certified Occupational Therapist, Ms. Snow has the unique medical perspective on how the brain controls our body and our behaviors giving her the perfect medical degree to explain how a brain disease like dementia affects a person.
Memory Matters is a community-based nonprofit organization on Hilton Head located at 17 William Hilton Parkway. The center is an excellence resource for persons with Alzheimer's and all forms of dementia and their families.
