A: We welcome experienced caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, and individuals with a heart for serving seniors. Background and reference checks are required.
Q: Do I need a license or certification?
A: Not all roles require certification, but preference is given to those with credentials or experience. We provide orientation and training to help you succeed.
Scheduling and Availability
Q: How are schedules assigned?
A: Based on your availability, location, and compatibility with clients. We aim for consistency and reduced travel time.
Q: Can I choose my shifts?
A: Yes! Let us know your preferred schedule, and we’ll do our best to match accordingly.
Q: What if I need to call out?
A: Please notify us by calling the office as early as possible.
Pay and Benefits
Q: When and how do I get paid?
A: We pay weekly via direct deposit or paper check. Payment is based on approved hours.
Q: What are the pay rates?
A: Rates vary depending on shift type and client needs. Your rate is confirmed upon assignment.
Q: Are benefits available?
A: Eligible caregivers may receive bonuses, mileage reimbursement, training stipends, and referral incentives.
Training and Growth
Q: What kind of training do you offer?
A: Paid orientation, dementia care programs, and continuing education through our upcoming Caregiver University.
Q: Can I grow with Visiting Angels?
A: Yes! We promote internally to Lead Caregiver, Field Trainer, and Care Coordinator roles.
Client Matching and Relationships
Q: How do you match caregivers with clients?
A: We consider your experience, location, and compatibility with client needs and personality.
Q: What if a match isn’t a good fit?
A: Let us know—we’ll work with you to find a better placement.
Support and Communication
Q: Who do I contact if I have a problem?
A: Call us at 816-768-0268. After hours, use the Caregiver Assist Hotline for urgent issues.
Q: How are schedules communicated?
A: We notify you by text, email, or phone based on your preferences.
Transportation and Location
Q: Will I need to transport clients?
A: Some clients need rides. If you’re open to driving, we’ll verify your license, insurance, and vehicle.
Q: Where are your clients located?
A: We serve North Kansas City, Gladstone, Platte Woods, Parkville, and surrounding ZIPs. We do not assign caregivers south of the river.
