Every one of our clients is unique, and when you work with us, we want you to know just how special you are. That is why we make sure we work with you to create your plan of care. There is no one-size-fits-all plan here.
What services you need and how often you need help will all be something that we decide together, and you can change your plan whenever you need to.
There are many services you can choose from, and they can include things like personal grooming, transportation, fall prevention help, dementia assistance, and more.
At the end of the day, we are going to be in your home and around your family. You should have full control over what goes on there. We make sure you do.
Choosing Your In-Home Caregiver
Any caregiver at any reputable agency can physically care for your loved one. At Visiting Angels, we believe that a good caregiver does more than that: To do the best job, they need to connect with their clients and enjoy being with them. They need to truly care for them, not just care for their needs.
This is why our caregiver selection process is so intricate. Obviously, we do all of the standard employment screenings to make sure that everyone we hire is safe and trustworthy. However, we also get to know them and their personality. Then, we determine which caregivers are going to get along best with your loved one.
We don’t stop there, though. It isn’t our opinion on who they’ll get along with that matters most. It is you, your loved one’s, and your potential caregiver’s. Once we find a few caregivers we think will be a match with your loved one, you can meet them.
Who makes you the most comfortable? Who feels the most comfortable with you? Every one of our caregivers is going to treat you with dignity and respect, but who is going to laugh at the same jokes as you and enjoy your stories the most?
We aren’t just making an employment contract here. We want you to find a companion who truly loves you as much as you love them.
