After working successfully in the healthcare industry, Gary and Kim Burmylo moved to Southwest Florida in 2014 to work together to provide a service that would allow us to give back to the community. Married for over 20+ years with the responsibility of looking after our senior parents, they had the opportunity to observe the caliber of care that our loved ones received when they could not be with them. They were counting on “others” to make sure their parents were safe and comfortable. Gary and Kim were disappointed in the feedback from their parents, and never really found a sense of respite care or someone they could count on. Instead, they learned that their parents were not given the courtesy, respect, and attention they deserved. Needless to say… Gary and Kim were let down. It was then that they explored the possibility of owning their own homecare company- one in which they could feel proud to say that they treat all clients with dignity and respect. Gary and Kim realized early on that each and every client they were caring for or looking after are loved ones after all and they deserve the very best care possible.  They knew at once that home health care could and should be done better and that we could make a huge difference. We found our calling!

Gary and Kim searched up and down the Southwest Florida coast for the perfect home healthcare business. They interviewed and evaluated several existing home healthcare agencies and franchises. They unanimously decided that Visiting Angels Punta Gorda, North Ft. Myers, and Cape Coral was the place they had been called to!  They fell in love with Visiting Angels! The Visiting Angels' mission, professionalism, and dedication to the community and population they serve were second to none. Since acquiring the franchise they are now living their dream and making a difference in their clients' and their families' lives.

Kim Burmylo:

I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have over 25 years of clinical experience.  I’ve worked for some of the top healthcare organizations in the country including Penn Medicine and Florida Cancer Specialists.  My background provides me with the knowledge and skill to assess your family’s needs and develop a care plan geared to you and your loved ones, specifically.

I have compassion & empathy for the elderly.  My goal is to treat your loved one as I would my own family. I am dedicated to providing personalized, customized, quality care.  The most important thing to me is that our employees exhibit respect, kindness, and professionalism for our clients.

Gary Burmylo:

With over 25 years of hospital human resources experience, I have worked with hospital and long-term care executives to implement talent acquisition, and talent management programs designed to ensure the highest patient and client satisfaction is delivered by the organization “People”.

What that experience has made me realize is that it’s the “PEOPLE” that make a company successful.

With the increasing war for talent in-home healthcare, my goal is to recruit and hire only the “Best of the Best People” to join our team as caregivers to serve and care for our clients and their families as we would want our loved ones cared for.
