Visiting Angels of Southwest Michigan has received the distinguished 2020 Best of Home Care—Employer of Choice Award from Home Care Pulse, the leading firm in quality assurance for home care. The Best of Home Care—Employer of Choice award is based on caregiver satisfaction ratings collected via telephone interviews by Home Care Pulse, an independent satisfaction research firm. Agencies that have earned this award are best-in-class for caregiver satisfaction.
The Best of Home Care—Employer of Choice Award highlights the top-performing home care businesses in the nation. Home Care Pulse believes that by honoring these providers, families looking for in-home care for a loved one will be able to recognize and choose a trusted home care provider. When you choose an "Employer of Choice," you can have confidence that your caregivers will be happy to serve you.
To qualify for Employer of Choice award, a home care agency must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Home Care Pulse Certified — Trusted Provider™ for a minimum of 6 consecutive months.
- Must outperform other home care agencies in their geographic region in areas of caregiver satisfaction
- Must have 10% of current caregivers interviewed by Home Care Pulse each month.
This accomplishment demonstrates Visiting Angels of Southwest Michigan’s long-term dedication to excellent care and quality improvement. To qualify for this award, 10% of Visiting Angels of Southwest Michigan’s clients and caregivers were interviewed each month by Home Care Pulse. Over a 12-month period, Visiting Angels of Southwest Michigan received high client and caregiver satisfaction ratings in areas such as training, compassion, communication, scheduling, and client/caregiver compatibility. Using feedback from employees, as well as quality benchmarks from Home Care Pulse, the Visiting Angels of Southwest Michigan management team set goals to reach the highest level of employee excellence possible.
