We are a locally owned and operated caregiving agency who provides in-home care to families in Barrington, Algonquin, Lake Zurich, Palatine, and surrounding areas. Having served our community for over 10 years, we’ve earned a stellar reputation for the quality care we provide each and every client. How We Help Seniors & Their Families
We provide home care to anyone in need in their home or wherever they call home. Below are some examples of the types of senior care we provide:
In-home care might include assistance with daily living activities, fall prevention and mobility, assistance with transportation to and from doctor appointments, running errands, etc.
Specialized care might include monitoring seniors with chronic conditions or illnesses such as Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, or stroke.
Care outside the home might include personal caregiver visits for seniors who reside at assisted living facilities or nursing homes, which helps ensure they receive one-on-one attention and companionship.

Hugh and Sherry McGowan are the proud owners of Visiting Angels Barrington and Crystal Lake branches. Having experienced the challenges of caring for their own senior loved one, the McGowan's have a very good understanding of what it takes to care for a loved one and are empathetic to families. They fully believe in being there to support you, during a time when you need it most.
