2023_gold
Winner: Lynda Prunier
Franchise Owner: Debra Desrosiers

“Lynda is focused on what’s best for the client and wants to ensure their dignity is maintained at all times. Lynda’s focus on care also helps to promote teamwork with other caregivers. She does a great job providing regular updates of any changes and also reviews and updates the client’s care plan to best allow other caregivers to acclimate and be familiar with the client’s needs and status, if ever filling in.

Her focus on client care is unwavering. She exudes all the qualities of an ideal caregiver including patience, resourcefulness, punctuality, and reliability. She has received 4 Perfect-10 scores in the past 2 years on the Home Care Pulse Survey. Lynda remains committed to her clients that she works with. She is able to juggle her personal commitments without sacrificing quality client care.

Lynda looks for the positive in all situations and instills hope in clients, especially if they are having a difficult day. Lynda is a great trainer for other caregivers who shadow her as she is attentive to details and explains things in a way that’s easy for others to understand.”

“Keri has a gift that cannot be taught, trained, or learned. She is a pure humanitarian…Keri has became our ‘go-to person’ for any client needs, concerns, and ideas…She has single handedly led to a committed partnership between them and Visiting Angels…Every single resident sees her as the symbol of a ‘Visiting Angels’. We often hear ‘when we need help, we call Keri!’ Other caregivers look up to her as the benchmark for service, caring, and communication with the office staff.”

Finalist: Jermaine Cureton
Franchise Owners:
Doris & Alycia Wertman

“Jermaine is the bright spot in our day, as well as his clients, and is always willing to help out when he is able, by picking up additional shifts. He is a great mentor to his co-workers who also speak very highly of him. He shows the upmost respect to his clients, and receives the same in return. It is such a rare gift he has to walk in a room, light it up and produce a broad smile on our senior's faces! Jermaine is the consummate professional, consistently neat and well groomed, wearing his Visiting Angels logo with pride. Jermaine is literally able to restore hope in a spiritual, emotional as well as physical way, building relationships one individual at a time.

We can count on Sheila even with the most challenging cases. We rely on Sheila for ideas and to help encourage the other caregivers. Semi-Finalist:
Lisa Follin
Franchise Owner:
Brian H. Bailie

“Lisa will always put the needs of her clients first. Lisa has always shown her commitment to her clients. Last winter we had a snowstorm that caused an issue with her getting to work. The client lives about 1 mile from Lisa. She walked 1 mile to his home that day. Last year Lisa had a health emergency when she was getting ready for work…Her husband called from the ER and Lisa was worried about the client! Lisa was off for 10 days and her clients were calling us regularly during that time to check on her. Lisa has always stated that she wants to be the type of caregiver that she would have for her family member if needed.”

Tanya Knight

Gary Stiefel

“Tanya is a warm, compassionate caregiver. She has a great sense of humor and builds strong bonds with her clients. Tanya is ALWAYS striving to be helpful to her clients. When she is not interacting with a client directly, she is looking for ways to be useful around the house. She provides outstanding end-of-life care. Tanya went way above and beyond as a brand ambassador by volunteering to speak at the Walk to End Alzheimer's. She spoke on-stage in front of about 300 people. There wasn't a dry eye in the place as she spoke about how she compassionately cares for her primary client, who has Alzheimer's.”
