While Visiting Angels is technically a home care agency, since the first day of operation we envisioned our team on a mission to enhance the lives of the older adults we serve. While we recognized the need to operate as a growing business, our desire to serve and change the way people age in our community did not fall behind on the priority list.

Our Mission: Helping More People Through Reasonably Priced Services
When your service is in high demand, you can charge high prices, but because of our mission and the desire to help more people, to make our prices more affordable, Visiting Angels Gilroy has historically priced services reasonably. While we cannot compete with independent caregivers, we are also not much higher priced than these independents.
We offer worker’s compensation, two types of bond insurance (as required by the State), liability insurance; we ensure that our caregivers are TB-tested, and we pay them to participate in our comprehensive training program. A team of home care experts back up our caregivers – to ensure that we can elevate the level of service a client receives, if necessary.
We ensure that you are not liable for employment taxes. (If an independent does not pay taxes, the client—as an employer, is liable). And last but not the least, we can provide back-ups should your primary caregiver be unable to work. Most independents do not have back-ups.
Our prices are lower compared to our competitors who cannot boast of the same level of service. Our minimum service requirement is only two days a week, four hours per visit. We don’t charge for the initial phone consultation nor the follow-up consultation should we determine that we should work together.
We can charge more - our service is certainly deserving of the top rates in the area! But we have resisted the temptation to do so, to do our part in helping more people have access to excellent care. While this may not sound like a good business decision – it has been one! Most of our business come from client referrals and most of our hires are drawn to us because of our reputation.
