Empowered Caring: Our Training Program
Elevate your skills, boost your career, unlock exciting incentives, and opportunities with our comprehensive training program! We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a grant to bring home-based care providers a transformative educational experience. This training can be used as a jump start into a new career, or can be used as supplemental training if you are already working as a care provider. Through our program you can earn continued education units, cash incentives, specialized Dementia care, career path counseling, and much more! Training participants will start with an all day (9 hour) training session, and will receive a certificate of completion which can be used towards claiming cash incentives offered by our generous grant provider!
So what does our training offer?
We offer 2 trainings per week on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm with 5 different courses taught in English and Spanish.
Our initial one day training events include:
- Why become a care partner?
- Caregiver Basics and Soft Skills
- The Virtual Dementia Tour
- Positive Approach to Care Training
- Career Path Counseling
After the one day training event, we offer 20 hours of online training through our Caregiver Development Program.
After completing our training, participants can claim their cash incentives through the state website.
- First 15 hours of training: $500
- Second 15 hours of training: $750
- Proof of employment for at least 40 hours per month for 4 consecutive months in the home care setting: $1,500
