Dependable Home Care for Veterans in the Central Valley Region

Visiting Angels helps elderly veterans and surviving spouses in Stockton and surrounding areas in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties get the quality in-home care they deserve

At Visiting Angels, we understand that military veterans have done so much for our country. That’s why we help elderly veterans and surviving spouses get the support they need by providing personalized and comprehensive senior care services.

Visiting Angels is the leading home care agency for seniors in Stockton, Lodi, Tracy, Morada and surrounding communities in the Central Valley region of California. We provide quality care for local seniors – including veterans and surviving spouses – to help them age safely and comfortably in place.

How Visiting Angels Helps Veterans Age in Place

As your loved one gets older, they’ll develop age-related mobility and cognitive issues that make independent living a challenge. That’s why at Visiting Angels, we specialize in providing essential personal home care services to assist seniors with everyday tasks.

We can help your loved one:

  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Take a bath
  • Get dressed
  • Wash dishes
  • Do laundry
  • Get from room to room
  • Remember to take their medication
  • Get to the toilet
  • Get to medical appointments
  • Run errands
  • And more

We understand that many families get nervous about trusting a stranger to care for their loved one. That’s why we allow families to choose the caregiver whom they feel will be the best fit for their loved one. We’ll introduce you to the home care professionals on our team and you can select one that’s compatible with your loved one’s care needs, preferences, personality and schedule availability. This helps create a strong bond between caregiver and care recipient, resulting in high-quality care.

At Visiting Angels, we understand that no two seniors have the exact same needs. That’s why we personalize each and every care plan. We’ll consult with you and your loved one and learn more about their needs and wishes so we can create a plan just for them.

Learn More About VA Benefits for Senior Veterans

Cost is a huge concern for families looking into home care options. Luckily, for senior veterans and surviving spouses, there’s an option to increase their monthly pension in order to cover the cost of care.

Aid and Attendance can provide elderly veterans and surviving spouses with additional funding in order to cover long-term care. Your loved one may be eligible if they meet the following criteria:

  • Require assistance with activities of daily living
  • Bedridden or unable to move without assistance
  • A patient in a nursing home
  • Specific vision limitations

Visiting Angels can work with you to determine your eligibility and provide guidance on how to apply for Aid and Attendance benefits. That way, you won’t have to choose between affordable and quality senior care.
