"This is a terrific organization. My mom has had Visiting Angels 4 or 5 mornings per week for the past 2 1/2 years. VA has been wonderfully attentive. They have also been flexible and responsive in working to cover doctor visits and other appointments, and have worked to get just the right people paired with my mom. Highest praise."

Belle Churchill - Director
I have proudly been part of the Visiting Angels team since 2018, and I am truly passionate about improving the quality of care for seniors in our community. I graduated from Purdue University and earned my Master’s in Health Care Administration, which has given me a strong foundation in delivering compassionate, high-quality care. I am also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and am especially dedicated to supporting individuals and families navigating memory care needs.
I entered this field because I deeply believe in helping seniors age in place with dignity, comfort, and respect. It is an honor to serve families during some of life’s most important moments.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and enjoying life with my three-year-old daughter and our golden retriever.
Carly - Office Assistant
Hi! My name is Carly and I am the Office Assistant at Visiting Angels of Ann Arbor. Here is a little information about myself:
I have been working for Visiting Angels for about 1 year and five months. With my time here at Visiting Angels, I am a student at Eastern Michigan University. I was a caregiver for about 8 months and completed my internship in the office where I obtained my position as an Office Assistant. I was extremely lucky and thankful to be offered a position once my internship was completed. I have been working in the office for about nine months.
My role at the office is to help wherever I am needed and to help assist in ensuring daily operations run smoothly. I mainly help with answering phone calls and passing along helpful information and ensuring adequate communication between the administrative team in the office, the caregivers, the families of clients, and the clients. I also help manage noting the appointments of clients and ensure information is all correct. I help assist HR with interviews and help the scheduling department fill open shifts occasionally.
I do this work mainly because I love to help people. Doing my internship with Visiting Angels has helped me gain a perspective on what it means to be a part of a team. I lost my mother when I was seventeen years old. It is never fun to experience grief of a loved one. Being in this work allows me and gives me the privilege to show empathy to others and be in their corner, especially answering phone calls and speaking with others during daily operations from day to day, especially since I have been in some people's shoes and have experienced that grief before. I also love to be a helping hand to my amazing administrative team, they truly are a second family to me!
A fact about me is that I have a twin brother! I am older by one minute!
Chelsea - Scheduling Manager
I’m the Scheduling Manager for the Ann Arbor office and have been with the company for almost six years. I manage the Scheduling Department and focus on big-picture scheduling to help keep everything running smoothly for our clients, caregivers, and team.
I chose this work because I care deeply about seniors in our community getting high-quality care so they can stay safely in their homes. It’s important to me that families feel confident and at ease knowing their loved ones are being taken care of. My biggest motivation is my grandma, who just turned 88. She’s been a huge part of my life from the very beginning and is my “why.” She deserves the absolute best care, and that’s the standard I try to uphold every day for her and for every client we serve. I’m passionate about making sure both clients and caregivers feel heard and supported.
Outside of work, I’m currently going to school full-time, but in my free time, I love reading, spending time with my friends and family, and hanging out with my two cats, Charlie and Henry.
Kelly - Scheduling Coordinator
My name is Kelly Dihle and I’ve worked at the Visiting Angels of Ann Arbor for nearly five years now. Over the course of those five years I’ve held a few different positions here. I started back in the fall of 2021 as a caregiver at the start of my college career. I later transitioned to interning in the office, then upon graduation from Eastern Michigan University, I took on the role of Scheduling Coordinator. My first role as a caregiver is what inspired me to pursue a degree in Health Administration. I wanted to get more involved in the operations of a home care agency and have felt very passionately about providing individuals in the community with dignified care. Along with also advocating for caregivers, they are the ones that truly make this all possible.
Over the course of my time here I am very proud of the accomplishments I have made. From being caregiver of the month in 2023, earning the annual humble hero award the same year, to taking on the more responsibilities in the office in the scheduling department. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, traveling, and doing puzzles or playing games.
Jessica - HR Coordinator
My name is Jessica Sastre. I am the HR Coordinator and I have been with Visting Angels for over one year focusing on recruitment and retention. I love my job because it gives me the opportunity to help our clients by doing everything I can to make sure that they will have a wonderful caregiver. I’m motivated by our caregivers that strive to provide quality care and take care of others every day.
I see myself as very compassionate and patient and I can appreciate those qualities in others along with accountability and communication, which helps ensure quality care for everyone. I’m a Dexter grad and still live locally and love to garden.
Alisha - HR Coordinator
I have been with Visiting Angels now for about a year and a half now and am the HR Coordinator. I have been in the health care field for 23 years. I started off as a CNA working in skilled facilities as well as assisted living and home care. I decided to get into this field because it is my calling to help others. I am in the role I am in now because I love being able to support and help other caregivers get the training and knowledge they need to be able to provide the best care possible to the clients.
Julissa Malave - Client and Community Relations Manager
My name is Julissa Malave, and I am the Client and Community Relations Manager. I’ve been with the company for five years, starting in October 2020. In my role, I oversee the Care Department, where I monitor and review client care plans, update goals of care, and reassess evolving needs. I also actively engage with community partners, all of whom provide incredible services and support to all areas of client needs. Most importantly, I work closely with clients and their families to ensure they feel supported throughout their home care journey—making sure their needs are met, their concerns are heard, and they never feel alone in the process.
I chose this work because so many people need help or support but don’t always know how to ask, what they deserve, or how to feel truly supported. I believe everyone deserves quality care and to feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. Families deserve support too—and they should feel like family, not just caregivers. This work is deeply personal to me because I have loved ones who receive homecare. Just as I want the very best for them, I strive to provide that same level of compassion, advocacy, and attentiveness to every client and family I serve—so they always feel seen and heard.
I’m especially passionate about navigating resources and advocating for my clients. I believe in walking alongside them, understanding their experiences, and helping guide them through every step of their journey. My goal is to make sure each person feels like they are part of a caring community—not just a number, but truly family.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, my son, and our two cats. You’ll often find me cooking, gardening, or baking sourdough.
Esme Frattarelli - Client Care Coordinator
My name is Esmé and I’m the client care coordinator at Visiting Angels in Ann Arbor! I started with this company as a caregiver during my time as a student at the University of Michigan which helped me develop a strong bond with Ann Arbor and with our seniors. In my position as a care coordinator, I am the first point of contact for our clients. I meet them wherever they are at and develop a plan of care moving forward. Ultimately, I am driven in all things by a desire to help others. Our seniors have given us a lifetime of hard work and it’s an honor to be trusted with their care and have the opportunity to give back. A trait I believe I bring to this industry is empathy. Seeing the perspective of our clients and their families is important for building trust and showing compassion in all situations. Care needs can change quickly and I hope to offer our clients a sense of peace and support through it all.
Aside from my job, I really enjoy the arts and I have played piano for 21 years. I also really love animals and will bring up my cat any chance I get!
