Using Your VA Benefits to Pay for Home Care

Many veterans are eligible for financial assistance through the Department of Veterans Affairs to help cover the cost of non-medical home care. If you or a loved one served at least 90 days of active duty during wartime, you may qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit or other disability-related support.

These benefits can help pay for services that help with everyday activities, like:

• Grooming, getting dressed, and staying clean and hygienic
• Safe bathing and bathroom use
• Getting groceries and running other errands
• Cooking and keeping the house clean and organized
• Carefully maneuvering around the house and while out
