"Our caregivers have been great. Everyone of them is kind and loving. They have become a part of the family, sometimes you don’t even realize they are there and you turn around and something has been cleaned up picked up or put away. My parents are very happy. They ARE Angels"

Peg Pickett - Owner/CEO

Peg Pickett - Owner - CEO

In 2006, following the passing of her mother, Peg was inspired to make a difference in the lives of others by opening her first Visiting Angels franchise serving Orlando, Winter Park, and Maitland, Florida. Fueled by compassion and a strong work ethic, Peg quickly grew Visiting Angels - Orlando into one of the top-performing franchises nationwide.

In 2014, she expanded her mission of care and excellence by opening a second franchise in Lady Lake, Florida, which also rose to become one of the top 25 franchises in the network.

Peg is passionate about leadership and entrepreneurship, having spoken at numerous venues on the momentum, dedication, and heart it takes to build a thriving business. She was honored as a runner-up for Businesswoman of the Year in 2010 and is actively involved in community and professional organizations, including Rotary International, the Chamber of Commerce, and various Boards of Directors, such as the Alzheimer’s Family Organization.

A strong advocate for giving back, Peg supports multiple charitable causes. One initiative close to her heart is Pillows and Blankets for Our Kids, a community-led campaign that in just three weeks collected over 500 blankets, 300 pillows, and 200 pillowcases for children in need—thanks to the generosity of local businesses and residents.

At the core of Peg’s values is her unwavering belief in treating everyone as we would want to be treated. She and her team are committed to caring for seniors with the same love and respect they would show their own parents.

Proudly family-owned and operated, Peg’s Visiting Angels franchises continue to provide exceptional in-home care, guided by compassion, integrity, and community spirit.

Veronica R. - Client Care Coordinator – August 2021

Veronica R Client Care CoordinatorVeronica has been a valued member of the Visiting Angels team for just over four years. After spending 20 years in the beauty industry in her home state of Maine, Veronica made the courageous decision to start a new chapter—not just professionally, but personally.

Her inspiration for the change came from a special client who touched her heart deeply. This client, who was living with dementia, visited Veronica’s salon weekly with her son to have her favorite shade of pink applied. The joy and connection that simple act brought stayed with Veronica long after the client’s passing in early 2021. It became a turning point.

Feeling called to do more, Veronica packed up her life and made the move to Florida with her two children. Shortly after arriving, she discovered an opening with Visiting Angels and decided to take a leap. Drawing on her background in managing salons and spas, she brought with her a strong foundation in customer service and office management, which translated beautifully into the senior care field.

Though she occasionally misses the beauty industry, Veronica is confident that joining Visiting Angels was one of the best decisions she’s ever made. She’s found new purpose in helping families and supporting caregivers, and she truly considers this work a calling.

Now settled in Orlando, Florida, Veronica enjoys life with her two wonderful kids, Olivia and Liam, and their beloved pup, Cody—affectionately known as “The Doctor.”
