Visiting Angels Plymouth-Canton is proud to serve and support aging loved ones in New Boston, Michigan, which is located 30 miles southwest of Detroit and close to three area Metroparks: Lower Huron, Oakwoods, and Willow. These Metroparks are an ideal location for families to come together for a nature walk, picnic, fishing, and more. Interestingly, New Boston was originally named Catville when it was settled in 1827, but was later renamed New Boston in 1868 after Boston, Massachusetts.

Recreational Opportunities

There are an abundance of outdoor parks for seniors to visit that provide opportunities to enjoy nature and the community at large such as Kenneth E. Berlinn Memorial Park, Willow Metropark, Lajko Park, and Joseph Waltz Memorial Park. Visiting Angels Plymouth-Canton’s caregiver services include transportation to such places to ensure senior citizens have access to amenities such as these in their community.
