Orcutt Ranch
The historic Orcutt Residence is surrounded by 24-acres of gardens and a citrus orchard. The gardens include heritage oaks trees, wandering garden paths, formal flower beds, and a variety of interesting specimen trees, exotic shrubs, and flowering plants. This picturesque setting is ideal for the perfect wedding day. The structure’s adobe walls and its design are based around a central courtyard and fountain. The Spanish tile roof and the ceramic relief vignettes adorn the home’s exterior along with the ornate ironwork and hand-carved woodwork. The colorful glazed tile panels depict domestic scenes of American Indian, Mexican, and Spanish cultures, and are all incorporated to create a complete architectural work. COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Department of Recreation and Parks has dedicated a portion of the Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center as a community garden. City residents who would like to raise their own fruit and vegetables can rent a 10-foot by 20-foot space for a nominal annual charge. THE GARDENS
The historic Orcutt Residence is surrounded by 24-acres of gardens and a citrus orchard. The gardens include heritage oaks trees, wandering garden paths, formal flower beds, and a variety of interesting specimen trees, exotic shrubs, and flowering plants. There are several significant oak trees on the property; one of the largest is more that 33' in circumference and is estimated to be more than 700 years old. This stand of oaks was commemorated with a plaque on October 2, 1948, by the San Fernando Valley Historical Society.
Crumbl
Seniors with a sweet tooth love Crumbl! It all started with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips. Crumbl was co-founded by Jason McGowan (CEO) & Sawyer Hemsley (COO). They both teamed up and dove head-first into the world of baking. They gathered feedback and tested recipes — a practice that is still part of the Crumbl process — until they created the world’s best chocolate chip cookie.
This free community park has hiking trails and picnic areas shaded by large trees. Parking is free and the park is dog friendly. It's open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
