Our Visiting Angels Office Staff

As our CVO, Chris is the strategic business planner for our many Visiting Angels offices. He motivates the staff with the latest company goals to continuously improve and grow the services we provide. His persistence is invaluable as our Visiting Angels agency continues to expand and provide the best care to our clients. He is also an advocate with many local care support agencies. Chris relates, "My late wife Michele and I heard about Visiting Angels and were attracted by the opportunity to do something good, start a business that would bring more jobs to our area and also help my Grandma. We do serve as angels as we help to better the lives of our clients".

Michelle's background is in Corporate Management. Her experience in leadership and guidance is the driving force to achieving the organizational goals of our agency. She has lived in SW Colorado for over 24 years, and loves serving her community. Her job as Administrative Director includes many roles, but she is focused on creating the best environment for our staff, allowing us to provide excellent, professional care to our clients and families.

LuAnn's leadership plays a vital role in our company, as the Care Director. She began with the company as a caregiver with a heart for helping others. Her skills in office management serve in coordinating all aspects of care. Her experience includes 11 years as office manager for a cardiac-thoracic surgeon, managing local restaurants, and hours of volunteer positions in her church. LuAnn strives for excellence, and is a strong leader in our agency.

Brenda oversees resources and marketing in all areas, promoting our outstanding company in the field. Her marketing degree and expertise as a former client care manager, combine to make her sensitive to new ways to creatively present the resources we offer in homecare. Brenda has been with us since the beginning, and is devoted to both leadership and excellence.

Doni is originally from Albuquerque, NM, but has spent most of her life in Pagosa Springs. She loves gardening, crafting, cooking, and antiquing. She loves the area and the beauty of the mountains. She also loves helping and serving others, which is perfect for her front desk assistance. Doni is the kind voice on the phone and the welcoming face of our busy office.

Amber is a dedicated professional with 6 years active-duty experience in the United States Marine Corps. She brings strong organizational skills and disciplined work ethic to her role as Exec asst. She also enjoys hunting, fishing, lifting weights and rodeo, with a passion for working on trucks and combining technical skills with a hands-on approach. Amber seeks new adventures both in work and in life.

Kelly recently moved to beautiful Pagosa Springs from the Denver area. She loves the outdoors and all the natural beauty of our area. With a career largely spent in commercial real estate and investments, Kelly now brings her experience to her role as Operations Manager, where she helps oversee the daily operations of a diverse group of businesses, and she does it with a smile.

Sher grew up in So. California, enjoying skiing & beach volleyball. After getting married, she lived in Lake Tahoe for 10 years before moving to 7 states pursuing other opportunities. In 2021, she planted roots in beautiful Pagosa Springs with her family. Her diverse professional background includes working with the airlines, law enforcement, real estate, and finance. Sher is enthusiastic about supporting the Care Director as the Administrative Assistant & managing special projects.

Sue's background is in health, fitness, and customer service. She has lived in Pagosa for two years and loves the area and the people. In the last 25 years, Sue was a fitness instructor & director in a retirement community, she owned her own personal training business, which catered to all ages and specialized in clients over 65. Sue is passionate about serving our local clients and Veterans, and helping them thrive.

Born and raised in Arizona, Sue recently moved to Pagosa for the mountain life. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, hiking and all outdoor activities. She has served in her local communities for over 10 years through volunteer projects. Sue's past experience is in customer service and leadership for over 25 years. Her passion for serving and always doing the right thing fits our culture perfectly.

Shoni grew up in Northern NM and has been in Pagosa for 12 years. She is married with three children, and she loves the quiet small-town life. She enjoys reading, movies, games, out-door activities, cooking, crafts, and family. Shoni is dedicated to assisting with caregiver and client needs as she helps greatly in the scheduling dept.

Kathy is new to the Pagosa area, along with her family and dogs. She has experience managing a business office and nursing facility, and various other businesses. Hiking, fishing, and ATVs are just a few of the great outdoor adventures she loves. Kathy's calm and friendly voice are a huge asset to our HR team, as she kindly assists with personnel and new hires.

Teri is our calm and caring billing clerk. She is responsible for maintaining, processing, and submitting all billing for our Veteran clients. Teri is very experienced in the bookkeeping area. She works well with numbers and enjoys the little details of her job. Teri is a vital part of our cherished Veteran services.

Kristin comes to us from the San Antonio/Austin area with an extensive accounting background. She, her husband, and 2 dogs moved to Pagosa Springs in 2022. Kristin loves the four seasons of Colorado. She loves to hike, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and spend time with family. She serves us well in her accounting role and does it with confidence and kindness.

Torri has been with us for 3 years and has served well in many positions. Caregiver, receptionist, on-call, and now billing. She recently moved back to her hometown of Pagosa Springs, and her hobbies are fishing, camping, and family. Torri enjoys helping others with billing issues and is kind and helpful to everyone.

Debby's background is in accounts payable to telecom and computer companies. She moved to Pagosa 7 years ago after 30 years in Denver, CO. She loves camping, hiking with her dogs, and eating Italian food. Debby is a great addition to our busy accounting team.

Gloria comes to us with a lot of accounting experience in different businesses. She enjoys the challenge of making all the numbers and pieces fit. She fell in love with southwest Colorado, having visited many times, before moving here 30 years ago. Enjoying the four seasons, hiking, and wildlife watching, are a few of her favorite things. Gloria is a great asset to our accounting team!

Tiffany is originally from the Midwest with a background in the administrative healthcare sector. She has recently moved to Durango where she loves the area, the people, and is looking forward to getting settled. Tiffany enjoys nature and being out in it as much as possible. She is passionate about serving our clients, and helping them thrive.

Rebecca Canavan, RN - Veteran Care Coordinator - Durango Office

Rebecca is a ranch girl from the Southwest. She came to Colorado with her family to experience mountain life and all it has to offer. She loves travel, nature, and spending time with her daughters. Her experience is in the medical field, primarily in emergency medicine. Her love for Veterans runs deep as her family and close friends served in various branches of the military. Rebecca has a passion for serving others and strives to make a difference in the lives of others.

Clorinda's job as care manager includes interviews, schedules home assessment visits, assists in franchise training and marketing to the San Luis Valley. Clorinda's background has been in human resources for 17 years at the Alamosa hospital and for 15 years in payroll and in accounts payable. Clo is fully committed to excellence in client care, and she gives 100% to our agency.

Tracey is a native to the Four Corners area, and grew up as a rodeo girl. She and her family love the Farmington area and all it has to offer. Tracey's experience as a CNA, an office manager, and assisting others with careers/college, serves her well in her office manager role. Tracey has a sweet spirit and the desire to help people. She is a bright spot to serve our NM clients.

Juanita comes to us with much care-giving experience. She has been a nursing assistant, worked with hospice, and also has her CNA. She is dedicated to her role as mentor and assistant manager. Caring for our clients and helping other caregivers is where she thrives. She loves music, movies, and anything family. Juanita plays a very important role in our Farmington market and we are blessed to have her.
