Who is Eligible for Veteran’s Care?

Eligibility is determined by the Department of Veteran Affairs and is based on several factors:

-Overall ability to safely remain at home

Each veteran’s situation is unique, so qualification and benefit levels depend on individual needs and circumstances. To find out if you or a loved one may be eligible, we recommend contacting your local VA medical center or Veterans Center and speaking with a service coordinator or social worker.

How to Apply for Veterans Home Care

To get started, fill out the VA Form 10-10EZ to apply for VA health benefits. You can complete the form online at www.va.gov, call the VA at 1-877-222-VETS (8387) or visit your local VA clinics like Detroit or Ann Arbor to get started.

Have the following ready for your application: -A valid ID -Proof of military service -Any medical or financial records to support your application

After you apply, the VA will schedule a health evaluation to determine how much care is needed. This helps decide how many hours of home care the VA can provide.

After your evaluation, the VA will review your case and notify you (and us) if you’re approved for veteran home care services. If approved, a care coordinator from our team will contact you to create a care plan for a home health aide.
