About Our History

This locally-owned Visiting Angels location was founded by people with long-term experience in health and human services. We base the services we provide not just on best practices, but also on the needs we see firsthand where we live. And what families tell us they want is a trustworthy, respectful provider of comprehensive home care, with the flexibility to be available on their schedules.

Although we are part of the larger Visiting Angels family, we have worked hard to build a reputation locally for reliability. We do this through our custom care plans, the careful vetting of our caregivers, and a dedication to quality makes us a valuable resource for families seeking in-home support.

About Our Owner

Michael Schroth, the Director and Owner, learned about the relief families can receive from the stress of caregiving long before he became a professional home care provider himself. He grew up in Cincinnati in a large, close-knit family that valued giving back to the community. He went on to earn his psychology degree from Northern Kentucky University and later completed a master’s in social work at the University of Kentucky.

With more than three decades of related work under his belt – including extensive volunteerism – he brings wide-ranging insight to the families this agency serves. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner and someone who has experienced the realities of Alzheimer’s with his own mother, Michael approaches his role with genuine understanding and a strong commitment to helping older adults age with love and support.
