"We found the perfect angel for my 94 year old father. Victoria is absolutely perfect. She is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. Victoria makes sure that Dad gets his walk in each day, even if it's in the house. She follows him through the house to ensure his safety. She does anything she can to help; and she does it all with a sincere smile and a giving heart. Thanks to everyone in this organization for the special attention you have shown my dad."

Most elderly people choose to stay in their homes if they can, even if it means bringing in a helping hand from time to time. After all, our home has all the creature comforts we’ve come to know and love, like the ol’ cast iron skillet seasoned by years and years of cooking delicious dinners or the back porch where you watched countless Texas sunsets. Or even the endearing sound of a certain floor board that squeaks when you step on it.
At Visiting Angels® of Fort Worth, we provide non-medical home care services to make it easy for seniors who want to stay living in their homes a safe possibility. Our caregivers live here, and work here in Tarrant County. For over a decade, we have helped local seniors hold onto their independence, follow their favorite routines and best of all, stay in their homes even when old age has started to limit the things they can do.
Home Care Services for Every Stage of Aging
When an adult daughter calls us about her ailing mother, her needs will most certainly be different than when another family calls us about their elderly uncle. We expect and prepare for the fact that each person has different challenges and different preferences for care.
We build our home care plans around each individual client by combining our various types of care. Our Angel companions can help your loved one with a variety of home care needs, including Alzheimer’s, cancer, COPD, and diabetes care.
Here is a brief introduction to our variety of home care services...
Memory Care
Our home care agency is most known for caring for seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. In fact, memory care is our Fort Worth agency’s specialty on account of the advanced training that all of our caregivers receive. Our training program was the first of its kind, and it's a testament to the high-quality memory home care our reputation is built on.
Personal Care
Personal Care is what you might imagine - help with mundane, daily tasks that simply get harder to do with aging ailments like arthritis or unstable balance. Daily activities of living like personal hygiene, housework, putting fresh sheets on a queen size bed are all included in our responsibilities. We give sponge baths or assist seniors with baths/showers preserving their dignity throughout.
Elderly Companionship
For those who are still able-bodied, but find themselves heavily isolated due to the loss of a spouse or family that moved out-of-state, we provide seniors with companionship they need to feel connected. Our caregiver shares a cup of coffee and good conversation, drives a client to the library, or gets them to their doctor’s appointment on time. Having someone there to pass the time improves our clients’ mood and lifts their spirits!
Chronic or Terminal Illness Support
Now, our palliative and end-of life support helps seniors manage serious illness. Our caregivers will work in tandem with your loved one’s doctors and their home nurses so that your loved one can stay home surrounded by what they know.
Short-Term Recovery Care
Respite care gives family caregivers a break when they need a day off on a short-term or ongoing basis. Likewise, transitional care is intended to help seniors recover at home safely after a stay or surgery at JPS Hospital to reduce the chance of a readmission.

What to Expect When Planning for Home Care Costs
Unlike many home care providers, we do not require a weekly minimum number of hours. Whether you need just a few hours of assistance or ongoing daily care, we're happy to create a schedule that fits your needs. Clients who schedule at least 4 hours per visit qualify for our standard hourly rate, while shorter visits are also available at a slightly higher hourly rate. If both spouses need care during the same visit, be sure to ask about our discounted Couples Care Program, which can be much more affordable than two separate care plans.
Home care from Visiting Angels in Fort Worth is billed hourly, not a recurring monthly fee like you would otherwise pay at assisted living. So, how many hours of care your family needs each week can help you cut down on costs.
Because every care plan is different like we mentioned above, we will provide exact pricing after your free in-home consultation and go over it with you to be as transparent as possible.
We are also proud to be a preferred provider in Fort Worth for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ H/HHA program for free home care to qualified veterans.
Why Families Choose Visiting Angels in Fort Worth
Our owner and president, Dale Brock, has been president of the Visiting Angels Franchise Advisory Council. Through the Visiting Angels Foundation, Dale was able to get funding for local Fort Worth non-profits like The Art Station; a valuable resource for veterans' mental health therapy through art and the Guzman23 Foundation that supports programs for people with Dementia in northeast Tarrant County.
In addition to the dedication from our leadership, the elder care professionals from Visiting Angels stand out among those from other home care agencies in Fort Worth because of our experienced background, advanced memory care training and dedication to respectful, dignified care.
How to Begin Home Care Services
Setting up home care for yourself, your spouse or your aging relative takes less time than you probably think. After you call our office, we schedule a free in-home consultation with our care coordinator, meet your loved one, and build a care plan around their needs. After that, we match a caregiver, set the schedule, and care can begin! The whole process can happen as swiftly as you need it to; usually within 2-3 days.
Our Visiting Angels office is one of the most trusted home care agencies in Fort Worth. The non-medical in-home care assistance we offer helps many elderly clients maintain the ability to live independently.
If you've known for a while that it's time to get extra help for an elderly parent, call 817-877-1616 today and ask our care coordinator about our home care services!
Home Care Questions that Families Ask About
I’m not sure what scheduling options I need. Can you tell me how to schedule care?
Sure! We offer a variety of different and flexible scheduling options for you to choose as we craft a custom care plan together. Our caregivers are available for hourly care, overnight care, evenings, holiday and weekend shifts. We are even available for around-the-clock care if that’s what your family member requires.
Will we always have the same caregiver at every visit?
Yes, we try to keep caregivers paired with their same clients for the duration of the care plan. At the onset, we thoughtfully match a particular home aide to an individual for deliberate reasons, be it their personality fit and level of experience.
Do your caregivers travel to any other cities besides Fort Worth?
Yes, our caregivers are allowed to visit clients anywhere in our service area that includes neighboring cities like Benbrook and White Settlement. You can see all of the cities in our service area here.
How do I know when my aging relative needs home care?
If this is a close family member or friend, you can tell when your loved one starts missing their medications or neglects their house work. If there’s spoiled/expired food left in the fridge, unopened piles of mail or soiled laundry, that’s a good indication it might be time for home care. You might also notice when they stopped taking showers, or start looking too skinny. Any one of these signs is worth a phone call to Visiting Angels in Fort Worth.
