Wide-Ranging Personal Care Services
Older individuals with a variety of age-related challenges can benefit from our personal home care services. After reviewing your loved one’s needs through an in-person care consultation, we’ll create a personalized care plan that’s tailored to his or her specific requirements. Perhaps your loved one has limited mobility and needs assistance with daily tasks like bathing, grooming, and dressing. Or, he or she may simply need an extra hand around the house in addition to some joyful companionship. Our personal care services cover all of these needs and more while allowing your loved one to live independently in their home.
Here are some of the ways that our personal care program can help your loved one:
- Emotional Care, Social Care, and Quality of Life.
- Help with bathing, grooming, and dressing (including bed-baths)
- Feeding, monitoring and encouraging fluids
- Safety in the home -- ensuring Mom or Dad's decisions are safe.
- Incontinence care, including changing, toileting, cleaning and skin health.
- Fall prevention and walking assistance.
- Ambulation and transferring.
- Medication reminders
- Exercise support
- Meal preparation assistance
- Light Housekeeping
- Help with errands and shopping
- Companionship
- Much more!
Our elderly personal care program is ideal for seniors who struggle to complete the required activities of daily living to live independently at home. Many have recently suffered an injury, suffer from a long-term disability, or have a cognitive impairment (Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, etc)
Transparency in all We Do
We put a high value on transparency. This is your family.
Our caregivers provide notes and updates on the day's events. They are trained to watch for -- and communicate any concerns about your loved one's care -- and to continue advocating until the issue is addressed.
You also have 24-hour access to the Owner and Executive Director -- for any reason.
And you have a right to know costs up front. We charge $36.00 per hour. There are no additional surcharges if the care is more complex than we anticipated -- or becomes more complex as time goes on. There are no additional surcharges for weekends or evenings. And most importantly -- we do not require deposits to be held until the end of care.
If you have a loved one in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, or the surrounding communities -- or are an Active Duty military family or a Veteran who needs personal care, contact Visiting Angels today for more information.
