Four Family Holiday Activities in the Chadds Ford Area

As families gather to celebrate the holidays, we look for events and adventures to create memories as well as get everyone out of the house for a few hours. With our elderly loved ones and children in the mix, finding a place that everyone will enjoy may be its own adventure. Visiting Angels of Chadds Ford is thinking of our clients and their families and have curated this list of events coming to the area in December that just may foot the bill. If you are finding yourself a bit overwhelmed taking care of all the needs of your loved ones, call Visiting Angels at (484) 770-8479 for a free consultation to see if our services are right for you.

Here are some events to consider for your family this year:

“The Nutcracker”

Wilmington, DE

December 16-17 at 7:30 pm, December 18 at 2 pm

The Wilmington Ballet Academy of the Dance, featuring the Wilmington Ballet Orchestra and the Wilmington Children’s Chorus, brings the holiday classic “The Nutcracker” to life in a new production at The Playhouse at Rodney Square (1007 N Market St, Wilmington) for three shows starting on December 16. The tale of a young girl in a fantasy world of good and evil delights audiences every season and this year is no exception.

Conducted by Maestro Allan R Scott, this beloved holiday treat will celebrate multiculturalism throughout, and includes a diverse array of guest artists from the world’s most celebrated dance companies. Tickets start at $82 and are available at meetandgreet.com.

Found Wandering Christmas Concert

West Chester, PA

December 17 at 7 pm

Every year at Christmas, Found Wandering gathers with musician-friends from up and down the East Coast to play Christmas songs. The trio, Sarah Comstock (vocals, mandolin), Colin Comstock (guitar, banjo), and Jake L’Armand (violin, guitar),

will perform with a 9-piece band featuring horns, strings and keys and will be playing a mix of re-arranged traditional Christmas hymns and new takes on contemporary Christmas songs originally written by James Brown, Harry Connick Jr and Jackson Browne.

The concert, hosted by Westminster Presbyterian Church (10 West Pleasant Grove Rd, Westminster), is free but you can reserve your seats at eventbrite.com now.

Winter Lights at Rockwood

Home for the Holidays at Stoneleigh
