Getting Started with Home Care

At Visiting Angels of Frederick, our process begins in your loved one's home with an in person review of their needs. One of our professional care coordinators will meet with you to learn about your situation, discuss routines and preferences, and explain how our services work.

If needed, we can also speak with your loved one's physician, social worker, hospital, or nursing home staff to help ensure a smooth transition and continuity of care. The next step is to meet with you and your family to create a customized care plan that fits your loved one's needs.

We understand that choosing a caregiver can be a difficult decision. That is why we introduce a selection of caregivers for your review and approval. We will not begin providing in home care until you have chosen the caregiver you feel is the best fit.

If your loved one needs assistance with personal care such as bathing, dressing, or grooming, a registered nurse with extensive experience will evaluate and supervise their care through regularly scheduled visits, helping to ensure comfort, safety, and quality at home.
