Urgently Hiring! Live-In Caregivers for Seniors in Luzerne, Columbia, Wyoming, and Lackawanna Counties.
Visiting Angels of Wilkes-Barre is looking to hire multiple caregivers to fill Live-In Caregiver job openings in the Luzerne, Columbia, Wyoming, and Lackawanna counties. If you are an experienced caregiver and looking for live-in care jobs, we encourage you to apply. A separate bedroom along with three 1-hour breaks for meals is provided.
Required Availability
- To work as a live-in caregiver, you would be required to live in the client’s home for 3-4 weeks at a time.
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical support and companionship to senior clients in their homes
- Aid in hygiene assistance – such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Perform meal preparation tasks and diet monitoring, including grocery shopping
- Help with laundry and light Housekeeping duties
- Provide medication reminders, when needed
- Assist with ambulation/mobility
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of caregiver experience
- Live-in experience required
- Must be comfortable with personal hygiene and transferring
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must comply with all agency policies
- Have at least three satisfactory professional references
- Willing to undergo a background screening
