Halloween

As Halloween quickly approaches its can be a time to engage with seniors in our Frederick community and discuss stories of Trick o’ Treating escapades. Ask the seniors in your life to tell you about some traditions, memories or past times. Often those with dementia and Alzheimer’s can still connect to memories from their past. Do you feel like baking? Then make the seniors in your life some delicious treats. Our sweet tooth taste buds never seem to depart us. If you are able, have the seniors in your life, sit on the porch with you, to hand out candy to the neighborhood children, who will stop by to fill their pumpkins in their spooky costumes. Take the time to decorate a pumpkin together with your home care loved one and display proudly on the porch for everyone to see.
