Visiting Angels - Las Vegas is a non-medical home health care agency that provides caregiving services and in-home support to seniors in Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas. Our goal is to assist seniors to remain in their home whether that home be a single family home, an apartment or an assisted living facility.

Visiting Angels - Las Vegas is locally owned and operated but nationally known with over 600 offices across the United States. We open here in 2000 and have an office in Henderson and Summerlin and we have over 250 caregivers spread out throughout the Vegas Valley to assist seniors. Popular caregiving services that Visiting Angels’ provides

The most popular services that Visiting Angels provides are personal hygiene assistance such as assisting a senior with a shower, bath or washing up. We also provide dressing assistance. Some seniors need a lot of assistance with these caregiving tasks and some need prompting or “standby” assistance. Some need ambulatory assistance.

Visiting Angels prepares meals and can remind clients to take medication. We also do dishes and other light housekeeping. As part of light housekeeping we change bed linens, do laundry and take the trash out which are tasks that many seniors struggle with.

Many of our clients have some degree of memory loss (such as dementia or Alzheimer’s). We train all our caregivers on assisting someone who has memory loss. Our caregivers have a lot of experience in this area. We provide companionship including cognitive and physical activities. We also provide overnight care for clients who have sundowners syndrome.

Respite care is a very important caregiving service that we provide. Respite is giving the family caregiver a break from assisting a senior. The family caregiver is typically a spouse or adult daughter or son. The family caregiver decides when Visiting Angels comes to give them a break. While our caregiver is there, maybe the family caregiver goes shopping or has lunch with a friend. Our caregiver may assist the senior with specific tasks such as preparing lunch or simply provide companionship and makes sure that the senior is safe.
