Local Port Orchard, WA, Caregiver Named Finalist for National Award
Visiting Angels, the nation’s leading provider of in-home senior care, announces Hannah Willis of Port Orchard, Washington, as a top-3 finalist for its prestigious National Caregiver of the Year award.
Hannah was named one of the top three caregivers from a long list of nominations submitted by the company’s 600 franchise locations. The award recognizes Hannah for going above and beyond the role of a caregiver and bringing joy and compassion into her clients' homes every day.
“Hannah has a true caregiver’s heart. With a gentle and kind spirit, Hannah brings joy to her clients’ lives and helps them find a bright spot in each day,” said Marilyn Oswald, owner of Visiting Angels Port Orchard. “While she sets the bar high for other caregivers, she’s also very encouraging of others and often spends extra time mentoring young caregivers.”
Over her eight-year tenure with Visiting Angels, Hannah has provided more than 14,000 hours of care. Clients say she brings a positive vibe daily but is also a comforting presence in the hard times or when they’re bedridden.
Hannah decided to take ballroom dancing lessons last year and loves to share the joy of music with her clients. She plays songs that they know from their youth so that they can dance together.
