Caregiver Spotlight: Cathleen T

Cathleen or "Cathy" has been a vital part of the Visiting Angels of Auburn caregiving team for a little over 2 years! Previously, Cathy worked for the US Postal Service for 27 years. Due to an aging loved one, she had to retire early. With her caregiving experience, she is acutely aware of the impact of being a caregiver can have, both personally and professionally.

Cathy is a compassionate and loyal caregiver who enjoys dining out and spending time with friends and family, especially her two grandsons that help her stay on top of the changes in the world. How cute!

Cathy is respected by her clients and their families, as well as her co-workers. With her prior experience, we asked her what advice she would share to incoming caregivers, “Respect is #1.” Well put Cathy. She stresses the importance of appreciating the lives that our clients have lived and their struggles-both present and past. Let the clients share their needs, fears. Let the clients talk. The clients can give you the perception of how they are feeling.
