Caregiver Spotlight: Lauire G
The spotlight for September features Laurie! Laurie has been with us for year and her work stands out. Prior to working with us, Laurie gained valuable experience in the field where she worked as an EMT and cared for a family member. She is a Licensed Nursing Assistant as well. Her experience as a prior caregiver provides her with the opportunity to utilize the wide array of care services Visiting Angels Auburn provides.
Laurie was enthusiastic to provide her favorite part about being an angel: It is the pleasure of helping others and hearing their stories. Hearing her client’s stories provides her with a better understanding on how to provide the care they deserve. She also discussed one of the challenges she faced thus far. Coping with clients who have passed away can be tough due to the
Laurie stresses on the importance of utilizing the continuous training we offer. The hands-on training and in-services we offer expands your knowledge of caregiving and allows you to further help your clients. Laurie even has two kids and states that this training while being a mother is invaluable!
Laurie, thank you for the amazing work thus far! Your kind heart and open personality allows you to touch the lives of both the clients and their family members, as well as the team here in Auburn.
